Saturday we made a stocking trip to Sam's Club. There are some things we probably cannot live without, mainly Mac and Cheese for the girls.

We were packing machines yesterday! We spent all day figuring out what to bring and packing. We made some substantial headway, but still have a ton to do. Yesterday's task was Ella's room. It is not easy to pick a sampling of books from her collection, we did our best. Ella was a huge help picking books and getting things for us when we asked. She even picked which animal friends are coming along, we will see if she changes her mind.

We received pictures of our apartment from Masako-san our travel contact in Tokyo. While it is quite sterile and hotel-like I am sure we will find ways to make it home. I can already see Abby going down the little slide in the kids outdoor play area.

Welcome to our Blog!

Sushi Stories is intended to share our adventures living in Tokyo with our family and friends. We hope that you will enjoy learning a little about life for an expat in Tokyo and maybe a little Japanese along with us. Check back often as we intend to share the fun, weird, embarassing and sweet moments of our year in Japan.

Enjoy!

See you later! Dewa mata!

Well we have booked our tickets to Tokyo, which means we have a drop-dead date to get everything done by, August 4th!

Things accomplished:
Apartment: check
School for Ella: check
Language training: In progress
All legal documents stuff: In progress

Things to do:
Too many to list

We are really excited (and a little scared) to start our adventure in Tokyo. If you are interested in learning more about our apartment or Ella's new school, check out the websites:

We will be living in the Aoyama neighborhood, which is in the Minato Ward in Tokyo. This area is known for being very trendy and has numerous upscale shopping areas. Ella's school has an Armani on one side and a Louis Vuitton on the other. A couple of the largest parks in the Tokyo area are right down the road.

The plan for July is family, family, friends and packing.

Anata no kenkou ni kanpai! (To your health!)
